Facilities
South Africa Lodge is divided into six separate Lodges, each of which is managed by a Clinical Manager who leads a team of nurses and Healthcare Assistants. As well as mixed wings, South Africa Lodge has both male-only and female-only wings. Our high staff to resident ratio ensures that the most complex of needs are readily met.
Following assessment, our residents are offered a room in the Lodge best suited to their needs in order to safely manage their care and wellbeing.
Our homes all have lovely garden spaces allowing residents to spend time outside with the team or with their visitors and where residents wish to do so can get involved with caring for the garden.
Our rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and offer spacious bedrooms that we encourage residents to personalise and decorate.
South Africa Lodge has comfortable living and dining rooms for residents to spend time communally as they wish in addition to quieter spaces to meet with visitors or to have reflection or quiet time.
Activities
Every day brings a new opportunity to create meaningful experiences. We design our activities with care - intended to inspire, engage, and foster genuine connections among our residents.
Working closely with Nordoff and Robbins, the UK's largest music therapy charity with over 60 years of experience, we bring the transformative power of music into our community. Bespoke sessions allow residents to enjoy music's calming and uplifting effects, nurturing emotional expression and creating warm, heartfelt interactions.
We are equally proud of our close ties with the National Activity Providers Association, which underline our commitment to a life filled with purpose and joy. In partnership with them, we craft stimulating programmes that blend creativity with compassionate care, ensuring that every moment matters.
Each resident is seen, valued, and encouraged to engage fully with life. Our approach is about celebrating small victories and building an environment where genuine connections can flourish daily.
