Facilities
Marula Lodge is divided into four separate communities, each with a dedicated team of experienced nurses and health care assistants.
Recognising that some residents benefit from single-sex settings, as well as a mixed community, Marula Lodge offers both male-only and female-only communities. Across all our services, our high staff to resident ratio ensures that the most complex of needs are readily met.
Following assessment, our residents are allocated rooms in the community setting that will best suit their care needs and overall wellbeing.
Our home has lovely garden spaces allowing residents to spend time outside with the staff or with their visitors. Where residents wish to do so, they can get involved with caring for the garden.
We encourage residents to personalise and decorate their bedroom, which are spacious and all with ensuite bathrooms.
Marula Lodge also has comfortable living and dining rooms for residents to spend time communally as they wish, in addition to quieter spaces to meet with visitors or to have reflection or quiet time.
Activities
Every day brings a new opportunity to create meaningful experiences. We design our activities with care - intended to inspire, engage, and foster genuine connections among our residents.
Working closely with Nordoff and Robbins, the UK's largest music therapy charity with over 60 years of experience, we bring the transformative power of music into our community. Bespoke sessions allow residents to enjoy music's calming and uplifting effects, nurturing emotional expression and creating warm, heartfelt interactions.
We are equally proud of our close ties with the National Activity Providers Association, which underline our commitment to a life filled with purpose and joy. In partnership with them, we craft stimulating programmes that blend creativity with compassionate care, ensuring that every moment matters.
Each resident is seen, valued, and encouraged to engage fully with life. Our approach is about celebrating small victories and building an environment where genuine connections can flourish daily.
