At Cornerstone Healthcare, our commitment to sustainability is driven by our dedication to ensuring a healthier and brighter future for our residents, employees, and the communities we serve. 

We recognise the profound interconnections between human health and the health of our planet.  By embedding sustainable practices in our operations and decision-making processes, we are not only reducing our environmental footprint but also enhancing the well-being of current and future generations.

For over two years, we have been working with FuturePlus to support the creation and consolidation of our ESG Framework and social impact programmes in our sustainability practices across five key themes including:

Diversity and Inclusion
Environment
Social 
Economic impact

Throughout this time, we have benefitted from rigorous FuturePlus assessments to evaluate our progress in the delivering on our strategies.  We were thrilled to be awarded the ‘FuturePlus Impact Certified’ badge, in recognition of our commitment and the improvements we’ve already made in our sustainability journey. 

At Cornerstone we believe that the ability to say we are doing better is not enough – we can prove it. Working in partnership with FuturePlus, we use their FuturePlus assessment tools to develop and deliver on our existing ESG framework.  Our ESG progress is scored monthly and compared to our set ambitions.  That’s why we use their platform tool, which is built on the principle of measurable success. This helps our understanding, defining and bringing to life our sustainability goals.

Our aim is to become an even more sustainable company.  This is a constant journey and one which we truly believe, as a responsible specialist care provider who is fully committed to positive social and environmental impact, will result in us becoming more resilient and adaptable for the future.
